Dutch fund supports endangered LBGT activists
The Amnesty International chapter in the Netherlands and a Dutch gay-rights group are raising money to help LGBT activists facing violence and intimidation.

The Pride Fund is intended to provide support to activists facing acute danger or imprisonment. The Fund will pay for legal costs or travel expenses when an activist has to go into hiding. The fund will also pay for a telephone or laptops to enable them to keep communicating. …
Amnesty International spokesperson Emile Affolter says the human rights organisation already provides much support for LGBT activists worldwide and [COC Netherlands] fights for LGBT rights in the Netherlands, “but we were not yet engaged in providing emergency aid and practical support to LGBT activists in distress.”
