Plans for relieving the plight of LGBTI asylum-seekers will be a focus of a strategy session June 3 in Philadelphia.
Groups planning the gathering include the Human Rights Campaign; Interfaith Working Group; the Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration (ORAM); TransFaith Online; and the Unitarian Universalist Association United Nations Office.
Other participating groups are Integrity USA; Lutherans Concerned/North America; Metropolitan Community Churches; National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Institute for Welcoming Resources; Rehoboth Temple Christ Conscious Church; and the St. Paul’s Foundation for International Reconciliation.
The workshop will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 3 (with lunch included) at the William Way Community Center, 1315 Spruce St., Philadelphia PA 19107.
